The Grand Duchy was nominated for the 2025 Innovation Champions of the Year award at the technology fair.
Representatives of Luxembourgish companies and institutions explore the latest innovations at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) – including some from Luxembourg.

At CES, the world’s most influential technology event, 4,500 exhibitors are showcasing their innovations until Saturday night (CET), including around 1,400 start-ups. Exhibitors from Luxembourg are also participating.
A delegation from the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the Luxembourg Embassy in Washington, D.C., and the Luxembourg Trade & Investment Office in San Francisco, has been attending CES since Wednesday. The delegation comprises 32 participants from 18 companies and five institutions.
“A highlight is that Luxembourg was recognized by the Consumer Technology Association (which organizes CES) as one of the 25 most innovative countries,” the Chamber of Commerce shared on Facebook on Wednesday. “The Grand Duchy received high marks for its diverse and highly skilled workforce, its business-friendly environment for entrepreneurs, and its openness to new technologies and business models. We are very proud of this,” stated the Chamber of Commerce.
Elora, a Luxembourg-based company specializing in generative AI business solutions, was selected for a panel on CES Europe Day to discuss AI-driven transformations across various sectors. Meanwhile, the Luxembourg start-up Mission Space showcased its innovations in the regional CES chapter of the Start-up World Cup. The company specializes in real-time space weather forecasting.
The two companies from Luxembourg exhibiting in Las Vegas are “Rolling Wireless” and “Data Design Engineering.”
Rolling Wireless specializes in the development and sale of wireless audio and communication solutions. The company is the world’s leading supplier of network access devices for the automotive industry, having delivered more than 60 million cellular modules to date.
The Bluetooth technology and wireless audio solutions from Rolling Wireless are used in vehicles worldwide. The company’s Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules support various Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technologies. These modules can be applied in multiple scenarios, such as hotspots for internet access, Wi-Fi displays, access to IVI media streaming, and as clients for home internet connectivity.
In November, the company’s 5G module passed the security certification of the U.S. standardization authority. “Rolling Wireless aims to be the most reliable and secure provider of wireless solutions for the global automotive industry,” said Andreas Kohn, Chief Operating Officer at Rolling Wireless, at the time.
AI Lightweight Vehicle from Luxembourg
Data Design Engineering (DDE) develops data-driven AI solutions, such as automatic high-precision control for robots. “Our AI is fundamentally ecological, evolutionary, and human-centered. It is also capable of cloning human expert behavior and thought processes and precisely analyzing causality,” the company states.
DDE integrates various technologies, including image processing, natural language processing, and predictive analytics. Originally founded in Seoul, South Korea, the company has had its European headquarters in Luxembourg since 2022. Together with Luxembourg-based company Gradel, which specializes in industrial custom machinery, DDE is advancing the development and implementation of automated industrial AI processes. At CES, they are showcasing their AI-driven lightweight vehicle at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
“We chose to exhibit on this prestigious stage at CES 2025 because our ‘Intelligence on Edge Device Offline (Large Multi-Model)’ technology marks a turning point with limitless application possibilities,” explained Benjamin Kim, responsible for business development at DDE, when asked.

“In our research on the technologies presented by other companies at CES, we found that while the global focus is on device intelligence, nearly all solutions rely heavily on cloud-based systems,” says Kim. “To our knowledge, no company—other than us—is presenting a 100% offline edge device technology. This gives us a significant competitive advantage, which has drawn many visitors to our booth and generated great interest at the event.” The DDE technology can be applied to manufacturing robots in industries such as semiconductors and lightweight construction, space research, drones, or even wheelchairs.
The unique aspect of DDE technology lies in its use of compressed Large Multi-Model (LMM) AI systems embedded in small, energy-efficient edge devices to enable fully autonomous operations. “It supports real-time decision-making, planning, and human interaction without relying on APIs or external cloud infrastructures. This makes it highly secure, cost-efficient, and fully operational, even offline,” explains Kim.

Chamber of Commerce to Return to the USA in October
After the opening of the European Pavilion, the delegation visited the booth of Data Design Engineering and participated in the international reception, where they met with business leaders from around the world. “The coming days are packed with visits to country pavilions and corporate booths, as well as pitching and networking events.”
The CES Global Innovation Scorecard 2025 measures political, economic, and demographic factors that foster innovation. The “Innovation Champions” were honored on Tuesday during the State of the Industry Keynote, with Luxembourg among the recognized countries. This highest classification as an Innovation Champion highlights nations with diverse and highly skilled workforces, fast broadband connections, a business-friendly environment for entrepreneurs, and openness to new technologies such as Web 3.0, autonomous vehicles, and blockchain.
“Technology drives solutions for global challenges, from access to healthcare to mobility, energy, and sustainability,” said Gary Shapiro, CEO and Vice Chairman of the Consumer Technology Association (CTA).
“Our Innovation Champions exemplify the transformative power of collaboration between government and industry, which improves lives worldwide. We hope the world’s leading companies can learn from each other and fully harness the benefits of technology in the future.”
After visiting booths of major companies like Qualcomm, Amazon, and Garmin, as well as country pavilions from nations including Japan, South Korea, and Canada, the Luxembourg visitors had the opportunity to establish business connections.
“To further build on the enthusiasm that companies demonstrated for the technological opportunities in the U.S. market,” the Chamber of Commerce announced, “a trade mission to Texas and California will take place in October.”

‘미국 시장에서 기술적 기회를 향한 기업들의 열정을 더욱 확대하기 위해, 10월에 텍사스와 캘리포니아로 무역 사절단을 파견할 예정’이라고 상공회의소는 발표했습니다.
